Tremendous Thursday!

Tomorrow is Spirit Day!!!! This means we come dressed (as best as we can) in our house colours to show our school spirit!!!

ALSO a reminder that lunch payments are due tomorrow. 

We began the day with an exciting house game!!!

We then wrote our homework in our agendas.

Next we were off to French with Mme. Stella and Gym with Ms. J.

After first recess and lunch we had music with Mr. Oliver.

Then Ms. Jaskolka gave us a math challenge and we worked in groups to figure it out!!!! We were given a specific number of hundred’s, tens, and ones and we needed to figure out, using the instructions we were given,  how to build a house using these manipulatives. We had so much fun!!!

After, we completed a math challenge as a class. We used place value follow me cards and worked as a team while Ms. Jaskolka timed us. Today our time was 7:53. Tomorrow we will do our best to beat that time!!!

Following second recess and lunch, we worked on an All About Me activity that will be posted on our doors to show everyone how awesome we are!! I will also post them on the blog when they are all finished.

What a Wonderful Wednesday!!!

Welcome back all my friends!!!

We began the day getting to know each other!!! We passed around our cuddly Panda friend and we all introduced ourselves one by one and something we wanted to share about ourselves.

We then had French with Mme. Stella and physical education with Ms. J.

After first recess and lunch we discussed homework items and created colourful table name tags. Next we were off to an exciting house game of musical chairs!! 

Following second recess and lunch, we played a fun get to know you activity with the other Grade 2 class!!! Someone was in the middle and if they said an activity that we relate to, we ran to another spot in the circle.

When we came to class, we made birthday cards so that when one of our friends in our class has a birthday, they will receive a birthday card from the class!!!

At the end of the day, we watched a Kid president video about being awesome. We then talked about how we can continue to be awesome (because we all are already so awesome!) throughout the year; we created an essential agreement so that we all agree on the rules for our class.

What a great day in Grade 2!!!
