Wonderful Wednesday!!
Tomorrow we all be having Track
and Field starting at 10:30am. Students are being asked to wear/bring
sunscreen, a hat, and their water bottles because we will be outside for most
of the day. Students are also asked to come dressed in their gym clothes.
Furthermore, a letter was sent
home yesterday with regards to track and field. Tomorrow, the top students will
be selected and they will compete against the Maples on Friday. Students were
given a letter to be filled out just in case they are selected and so that we
have permission to take them to the Maples on Friday.
We will be having our Math test
tomorrow.
Our spelling test will be on
Monday and not Friday since some students will be away at the Maples on Friday.
We began the day writing our homework in
our agendas and then writing the last page in our report card. We wrote about
what we learned, improved upon, and what we had the most fun doing this term.
We then had gym with Mr. Slyk.
After, we continued working on our report
cards.
We then did some problem solving in groups.
We created multiplication, division, and fractions problems in groups of three.
We then worked together to solve them. This will help us be better prepared for
our test tomorrow and to learn various strategies when solving the same
problems.
After first recess and lunch, we continued

We then moved onto our novel study. We
first did a retell of chapter 7, ensuring to focus on important details from
the beginning, middle, and end of the chapter. After, we wrote a letter to Flat
Stanley, letting him know how we think he should save Oda Nobu. Ms. Jaskolka
was very impressed with how much students have learned when it comes to writing
a letter! Students remembered to include the important components of a letter!
After second recess and lunch, we read
chapter 8 as a class.
At the end of the day, we were able to
water balloon the teachers!!!!
What a fun day!!!
