Wonderful Wednesday!
Happy Birthday, Noah!!!
We began the day writing an Ontario Writing
Assessment. We were showing our knowledge and understanding about how to write
a letter and a recount.
After, we continued working on a special
art project.
During UOI, we drew and wrote up 4
different ways that we can reduce, reuse, and recycle.
After first recess and lunch, we continued
to explore capacity. We looked at three different containers and made
predictions about which one could hold the most and the least capacity. We then
performed this experiment together to find out if our predictions were correct.
We then had French with Mdm. Stella.
After second recess and lunch, we continued
with our Novel Study. First we did a recount as a class about what happened in
chapter 5 of Flat Stanley. After, we made predictions about what we thought
would happen in chapter 6. We ensured that when we made our predictions that we
were using information from the previous chapters to guide our predictions. We
then read chapter 6 as a class. Stanley’s family has come to Japan to get
Stanley but while they were all talking to one another, ninjas came from every
direction and covered Stanley’s family with a big black cloth. In the midst of
all the chaos, they had kidnapped Oda Nobu and he was gone!
