Tremendous Tuesday!
Tomorrow is:
Casual Day
Bake Sale
Year Ahead Day-The students are
being split between Ms. Hung and Ms. Glover. Each student wrote down in their
agenda which teacher they will be going to tomorrow.
I will miss my friends very
much!
We began the day having French with Mlle.
Jessica.
We then moved onto math. We reviewed what we have
learned so far about probability and then we continued tallying and graphing
information. As a class, we predicted what would happen if we toss a coin up in
the air ten times; we predicted that it would be a tie and we were correct! We
kept track of our count using a tally chart and then we created a bar graph to
represent out information. Next, we worked in partners. First we tallied the
number of chairs in our class. We then chose two more items to tally in our
classroom. After, we did an activity counting fish in a tank. We tallied the
striped, spotted and fish with whiskers. We then showed this information on a
bar graph. On our bar graph, we needed to ensure to include the title (counting
fish), labels (stripes, spots, whiskers), and that we counted accurately. We
then made one true statement about our graph (ex: There are more striped fish
than spotted fish in the tank).
We then had physical education with Mr. H.
When students returned, they continued working in
partners on their probability activities.
Following first recess and lunch students continued
working on their summative project; students are using their creativity skills to
come up with their own holiday.
We then had music with Mr. Oliver.
When students returned, they continued working on their
summative project.
After second recess and lunch, we explored how to write
instructions using a game. We then wrote instructions for our own game. We then
explored how to write a recipe and then we did so independently.
Have a wonderful day tomorrow my friends!
