Wonderful Wednesday!
We began the day having French with Mlle.
Jessica.
Then we moved onto Math. In
this unit students will play various games and complete different activities
where they will predict whether an event is certain, likely, unlikely, or impossible
to occur. We recited a chant from our math books that explains a game called
“Race to Ten.” After discussing the rules we played this game in partners We
used 10 cubes of one colour and 5 cubes of another colour. Students picked out
cubes one by one out of a bag. Students realized that it is more likely that
the 10 cubes would win the race to ten because they were more of them. Students
then filled out “Race to Ten” questions discussing probability.
After we had physical education with Mr. H.
When we returned, we continued our probability game in
math.
Following first recess and lunch we continued working on
our International Day project about Russia.
After second recess and lunch we read the second chapter
of Horrible Harry and the Holidaze. In this chapter we learned about Three
Kings Day and we did a reading comprehension activity related to this holiday.
We still have not figured out what is the matter with Harry!
