Tremendous Tuesday!!
We began the day having French with Mlle.
Jessica.
During math, we practiced two-digit
subtraction using a place value mat using the white board. We then showed our
understanding in our math books.
Next we had physical education.
When we returned, we continued with our
math.
After first recess and lunch we went over
to Ms. Baimas’ class to understand modes
of transportation from the past and present. As a whole
group we discussed the key concepts of our unit: Change and Causation. We thought about objects, items or activities
that have changed over the years and explained why. We then worked on a
matching activity in groups; we sorted images into past and present and
discussed why they have changed. Next we chose one example and presented it to
the class. We then watched two videos to explore the evolution of transportation.
Then we headed back to class and began an activity about transportation from
the past and into the present. We chose a mode of transportation used in the air,
water or on land and drew and wrote about how this mode of transportation has
changed.
Following second recess and lunch, we
began presenting our book reports to the class. We have explored many fun,
exciting and interesting books! We will continue tomorrow.
