We began the day adding to our brainstorm for exhibition topics, considering issues that we face locally (but possibly globally too) that are related to the theme or aspects of our transdisciplinary
theme: Who we are. Students continued to brainstorm possible issues as a group and then shared these ideas with the class. Students then whittled down these ideas by eliminating those that would
be worth learning about in depth and are actionable. Students then chose their top five topics for Exhibition. Students are asked to discuss these topics with parents tonight and edit their list tomorrow if they would like to.
We also had some grade 7 students visit with us tell tell us more about exhibition, what to expect, and to give us advice. Two of the biggest pieces of advice that they gave us were to manage our time wisely and to work well within our groups (do our fair share and listen to the ideas of our group members).
The rest of the day was spent reflecting on the second term by: writing the last page of our report card, choosing activities to put into our IB binders and working on student led conference booklets.
We also had a fun sports themed house games!!!
Homework and reminders:
1. Read Daily
2. Finish up until and including the language section of the student led conference booklet
