Magnificent Monday!
Tomorrow is Valentine's Spirit Day!! Students are being asked to dress in
white, red and pink.
We began the day having French with Mlle.
Jessica.
We then made 3-D shapes to gain a better
understanding of their attributes. For each shape we wrote down:
Name of shape _________
I am a 3-D shape
I look like _________
_____ faces
_____ edges
______ vertices
We then had physical education with Mr. H.
When we returned, we worked on building our
3-D shapes.
Following first recess and lunch, we
continued working on letter and recount writing. Today, we wrote a letter to
Ms. Jaskolka recounting our weekend. We will continue our letters tomorrow.
We then had Music with Mr. Oliver.
After, we over to Ms. Baimas’ class and we
continued our exploration into being a good citizen. We watched an episode of
the Bernstein Bears where brother and sister had a bad case of the gimmies!!!
After we finished, as a whole of grade 2 we talked about what we learned. These
conversations lead us to a discussion about wants and needs. We talked about
various wants and needs that we know about and tomorrow we will complete
activities related our own wants and needs.
Following second recess and lunch, we
practiced our poems in front of the class. On Wednesday we will practice again
in front of our class and then our grade 2 competition is on Thursday.
