Tremendous Thursday!
We began the day having French with Mlle.
Jessica.
We then continued working with 3-D shapes
in math. We used play dough to make various 3-D shapes to gain a better
understanding of their attributes.
Next we had physical education with Mr. H.
When students returned, they continued working
on Math.
Following first recess and lunch, we
continued making laws for our class. Yesterday we discussed important laws and
rules that we know of inside and outside of school. We also included within our discussion rewards and
consequences for following the rules. We then had the opportunity to make our
own law for our class!!!
We then had Music with Mr. Oliver.
When students returned, they worked in
their table groups to pick one law out of the whole group to be chosen for our
classroom.
Here are our laws that we created:
We then did a classroom vote about the law
we thought we should implement in our class.
We decided that the new law we are to have
in our class is to respect everyone or the consequence will be losing 10
minutes of recess.
After second recess and lunch, we reviewed
how to go about writing a proper recount. Then, we read the Bravest Fish by
Matt Buckingham. Next, we worked as a class to come up with a recount of the
story. We then began writing our own recount for the Bravest Fish that we will
continue tomorrow.
At the end of the day, Ben presented his
Holiday scrapbook.
