Wonderful Wednesday!
We began the day working on some data
management and probability activities to be better prepared for our test on
Friday.
We then had physical education with Mr. H.
When we returned, we practiced being
reflective. We chose an activity we worked our hardest on, our best work, and
something we would like to improve on and put each one into our IB binder. We
will continue this activity tomorrow.
Following first recess and lunch, Ms.
Jaskolka gave us a challenge. We needed to fix all of Ms. Jaskolka’s
mistakes!!!! She gave us three letters that she wrote and we needed to try and
find all the mistakes that she made using our knowledge of letter writing!!!
During UOI, we explored how a community is impacted by the involvement of its members. We discussed
some of the important members of our community and then we played a game on the
tablets to learn more about some important members of our community and how
they impact our community (police officer, fire fighter, gardener, teacher,
farmer, doctor, garbage collector, postal worker, plumber, grocer, mechanic and
baker). A special thank you to the parent guild for helping us to raise
money for our tablets!!
After first recess and lunch, we read chapter 3 of Horrible
Harry and the Holidaze. In this chapter we were able to recall our knowledge
about Kwanzaa and learn more about this tradition!! We then worked on an activity
using adjectives to describe how Harry is feeling and making predictions about
why he is upset.
