**A reminder that we have Spelling tests every Friday. **
We began the day having French with Mdm. Stella.
After, we further explored how weather affects many factors,
such as the clothing worn in countries around the world. We used procedural
writing to explain what we would pack for a trip around the world:
Manny also shared with us the differences between provinces
and territories. He researched this information at home. Excellent way to show action Manny!
We then had Art with Ms. Kerr.
After first recess and lunch, we continued our unit in
patterning. We represented patterns in various ways and figured out various
patterns using snap cubes. We will be working on our patterning and sorting
review tomorrow. Students will use these to help them study for Monday’s test.
When students were finished, they worked on proper sentence
writing. Students were first given various groups of words and needed to figure
out if they were complete sentence or not. After, students were given mixed up
sentences and they needed to put the words in the proper order. Students needed
to ensure there was a capital at the beginning and a period at the end.
After second recess and lunch, student labeled the seven
continents on their own world map.
At the end of the day, Joshua showed how he has been an
action star. He shared with us his little globe (that is also a ball) that
helps him learn about the world. Great
action Joshua!
After, Avaneesh did his all about me bag. We learned so much
