Wonderful Wednesday!!
We began the day having French with Mme. Stella.
After, we played a name game. Students took turns passing a
beach ball to each other. When each student received the ball, they said their
name and something they like to do/something they did over the summer holiday.
After, we repeated the activity, except this time, when a student got the ball,
they needed to say everyone’s name. I think we have all learned most of the
names!
After, we took a tour around the school. Students were able
to see where the other classes are, the location of the library, cafeteria, and
many other rooms in the school.
When we returned, we spoke about some rules we have in the
school and went through some of the guidelines in the student handbook such as
proper uniform attire. Please ensure to go through the handbook with your child
and afterwards for both parent/guardian and child to sign the last page.
After we had recess and lunch.
When students returned, they wrote their homework in their
agendas and then were off too physical education with Ms. Lovan.
Afterwards, students collaborated in their groups about the
rules that we should have in our class. We knew to take this seriously because
we would be following these rules for the whole year. Here we are:
Before sharing the rules we came up with, we discussed why
we have rules:

After second recess and lunch we played a “Guess who I am”
game. Students filled out information about themselves and then Ms. Jaskolka called
out the information on each sheet and we needed to guess who the student was.
We spent the day building community in our class and getting
to know one another.
See you all tomorrow!
