After
first recess and lunch we continued reading our migration stories.
After
we discussed the learner profile of the month, Thinker. We also read a book
about Charlie and Lola and how they were both thinkers. Charlie knew that Lola
was a very picky eater so he decided to tell her that all the foods that she
was eating were special and not really food: such as:
Carrots: They were orange
twiglets from Jupiter.
Peas: They were greendrops
from Greenland.
Potatoes: They were cloud
fluff from the pointiest peak of Mount Fuji.
Fish fingers: They were ocean nibbles from under the sea.
Charlie also tells Lola that mermaids always eat ocean nibbles. Lola now eats
what mermaids always eat!
Charlie used his problem
solving skills to encourage Lola to try different kinds of food and it
worked!!!
We then talked about
situations where we also used our problem solving skills and then we completed an
activity related to being a Thinker and also the attitude for the month:
confidence.
After second recess and
lunch we worked on our organization skills.
At the end of the day we
had some free time since we have been working so hard!!!
Have a wonderful weekend!
