We began the day with a house
game and the pancake eating contest. We were so full!!!
After, we had physical education
with Ms. Lovan.
When students returned, we
began our next unit of inquiry learning about cultures. We discussed what
culture meant to us and watched a short video explaining the different aspects
of culture while filling out a mind map.
During Math, we used play
dough to make various 3-D shapes/solids. We first looked at the big math book
and discussed the various 3-D shapes that we saw and then students made a model
of one of the four structures. Students then chose a 3-D shape that they wanted
to make out of play dough. We wrote how we made these shapes and gave tips to a
friend about how they could build the same shape. Then students looked at two
pictures and needed to find the 3-D shapes in each one.
After first recess and lunch
we had French. When students returned, they wrote their homework in their
agendas and then completed any unfinished work.
After second recess and lunch
students worked on Lesson 19 in their Spelling Books.
At the end of the day,
