Tremendous Thursday!
Updates:
Tomorrow is International Day! Come visit the many cultures of the world between 2:30 and 3:30!
We will not be having Kiss and Ride tomorrow
We began the day having French with Mdm. Stella.
During math, students continued to play the games that they
created yesterday but using a different spinner. Students first made their
predictions about what was likely to
happen and then they played their games in partners.
Students were then off to Art.
After first recess and lunch, students had physical
education with Ms. Lovan.
When students returned, they continued working on their
bridge packages. Students explained any problems that they had and how they
fixed them; they also went into detail about how they built their bridge and the
materials and fasteners they used.
During our writing time, students created their own topic, topic
sentence, and three detailed sentences; students ensured that their topic
sentence tied together with their detailed sentences in order to create a
coherent paragraph.
After second recess and lunch, students presented their
bridges. Students had so much fun explaining and testing out their bridges
using a toy car. Everyone passed the test!!
We then read a book, Kamal goes to Trinidad, and learned
more about the culture and daily lives.
