Wonderful Wednesday!
Updates:
We will begin building our bridges
tomorrow
We will be
having a school panoramic photo taken tomorrow morning. We ask that all
students be dressed in their full St. Jude's Academy school uniform.
***We
need more newspapers for our Scientist in Schools workshop next week. If you
could bring in a newspaper by Friday to help reach our goal that would be
greatly appreciated!!***
We began the day having French with Mdm. Stella.
After, we wrote our Math test.
When students were finished, they wrote their homework in
their agendas and then moved onto language. Today students wrote their own
topic and three detailed sentences to create a paragraph.
After first recess and lunch, students had physical
education with Mr. Slyk.
When students returned, they built a structure out of
toothpicks and marshmallows; they worked in groups trying to make their
structure as tall as they could. Students needed to keep in mind that
toothpicks are a very weak material and therefore more need to be used in order
to hold on any weight from above.
Students then continued working on their paragraphs from
this morning.
After second recess and lunch, we began working on our
International Day project. Students have brought in information about Trinidad
and they teamed up with their partner and read out their information. Students
then began writing out their information ensuring to use words that they
understand so that they are able to teach others about their given topic.
