Wonderful Wednesday!!

We will be having a bake sale next week. Students are being asked to bring in some yummy treats on Tuesday for the bake sale

We will be having our next math test tomorrow.

Attention all parents and students: We are having our Spring Fundraiser to raise funds to support our Science and Physical Education Program! There will be a variety of exciting EVENTS with a number of amazing PRIZES for students to win through their participation! 

Some of the big events to make note of for THIS week are:

April 21st: Sundae Fun Day! 

April 22: SJA Dance Party with Delicious Treats!!!

April 25: Popcorn day!! 

What an exciting two weeks!!

Furthermore,

A Pledge form went home in efforts to renovate the school’s science lab and PE program. We kindly ask that all donations be turned in by Thursday, April 28th, 2016. All students who collect a minimum donation amount of $35.00 will be treated to a bowling party on April 29th!


Prizes can also be won for students who raise money! Grand prizes include a movie and pizza party; this is for the class that raises the most money!

We began the day with an exciting Spring Fundraiser assembly. We have reached our goal of 2000 dollars so the top students who brought the most money in, was able to silly string Ms. Bosetti!!!

After we wrote in our agendas and then were off to gym.

When students returned, they worked on their math review to be better prepared for tomorrow’s test.

After first recess and lunch, we learned about how to write a proper recount. A recount is to tell someone about something in order. Ms. Jaskolka showed us how to do so with an example on the board. She did a recount about her weekend:



After we read a book called The Bravest Fish and then we did a verbal recount of what happened in the story using the key words: First, Then, Next, Then, Last. We came up with some key points as a class that we need to ensure to include in our recount and then we began writing our rough copy.

Students then had French.

After second recess and lunch, Chelsea did her presentation about her cultural doll. Watch her educate the class about the Philippines:

We then caught up on some unfinished work.

Homework:

1.     Read for 20 minutes
2.     Bowling forms due next Thursday
3.     Sundae and Popcorn form due Monday
4.     Lunch forms due April 22
5.     Math test tomorrow
6.     Math review
7.     Sign summative rubric
8.     Bake sale: please bring in items on Tuesday
