Terrific Thursday!!
We began the day working on our summative
project.
Next we had French and then Gym.
After first recess and lunch we learned
about fact families during math. We looked at three numbers and we tried to
figure out two addition and two subtraction sentences only using the numbers in
our house. For example:
4, 3, 7
4+3=7
3+4=7
7-3=4
7-4=3
We then created our own fact families that
would live in our house. We then coloured and decorated our fact family home.
We will be able to use fact families to
check our answers with regards to addition and subtraction.
For example: 11-4=7
We can check if we are correct by adding 7
and 4 and our answer is 11!
Next we continued working on our summative
project.
After second recess and lunch we began
learning about letter writing. We wrote a letter to Raiyan and Meekaal because
we miss them very much!!!
Here is our letter:
We looked at the important parts of a
letter and the format of a proper letter. After Ms. Jaskolka gave us a
challenge!!! We were given three letters where Ms. Jaskolka made so many
mistakes!!! We needed to find as many mistakes that we could find!!!
