Marvelous Monday!!
We began the day working with our spelling
words for the week.
Next, we began working on our Math Review
about 2-D and 3-D shapes. Our test will be on Thursday.
After that we were off to gym.
Following first recess and lunch, we practiced
our organizational skills by filing Math and UOI activities into our binders.
Next we reviewed as a class how we could
describe 2-D and 3-D shapes. 2-D shapes: number of sides, number of equal sides
(hatch marks are used to indicate equal sides), parallel sides (arrows are used
to indicate parallel sides), number of vertices, angles (right, more than right
or less than right angles). 3-D shapes: vertices, edges, faces, and congruent
faces.
Then we reviewed chapter 6 of our novel
study and read chapter 7 as a class. Believe it or not, Jack and Annie rescued
Bing Bing, Roly and Poly AND Little guy! Wow!!!! They helped the panda centre
so much and their endangered animal friends!!!
After second recess and lunch we had French.
When we returned, we began our journey as
nature detectives! We will be going on nature walks and completing nature
detective missions as part of our appreciation for the natural world around us
for our current unit of inquiry.
