Wonderful Wednesday!

We began the day having art with Mr. Monaghan and physical education with Ms. Lovan.

We joined Ms. DaCosta’s class to learn more about mass. We did an experiment using tape, scissors, white out, and a calculator. We used snap cubes to see how many it would take to balance each item. We learned that the tape had the biggest mass because we needed to use 12.5 snap cubes to balance it out. We also learned that the white out has the smallest mass because it only took 2.5 snap cubes.
We then explored what would happen when we use different non-standard units of measurement to balance the same items. We weighed tape and an eraser using glue sticks, snap cubes, and markers. We found out that it would take less glue sticks to weigh each item because their are heavier while the snap cubes are lighter and therefore we do not need to use as much.

During UOI, we watched a Bill Nye video about the water cycle.

After first recess and lunch we had French. When students returned, they wrote their homework in their agendas and then we finished the Bill Nye video. After we learned a song about the water cycle.

After second recess and lunch, we wrote about what being principled means to us.  We wrote and drew ourselves being principled at school.

At the end of the day we did Word Work. We used small white boards and markers to practice out spelling words for our test tomorrow. We then practiced some spelling bee words.
