Wonderful Wednesday!
We began the day having French with
Mdm. Stella.
When students returned we watched
the story of the three little pigs from the pigs point of view.
After, we read The true story of
the 3 little pigs which was from the wolf’s point of view.
We learned that because the pigs
and wolf have two different sides to the story, they have two different points
of view. We unpacked these two different points of view by discussing the
differences between the books:
We also discussed why there were
differences between the two books. We came to the conclusion that both the pigs
and the wolf want the audience to believe them so they will try and make each
other look bad; the pigs want to look innocent and so does the wolf.
We then learned that when we are
looking at different kinds of media, it is important to know from who's point
of view we are getting the information from. It is important when looking at
different kinds of media, to question what we are reading/hearing/seeing. When
looking at different kinds of media, we may not always be getting the whole
truth and all the information we need, so it is important to ask questions and
learn more about the information that we are given.
Afterwards, we started writing our
good copies for the advertisements that we have created about a new toy we
invented.
After first recess and lunch, we
had physical education with Ms. Lovan.
Afterwards, we continued working on
our good copies of our advertisements. Tomorrow we will begin practicing presenting
our advertisements to the class.
After second recess and lunch, we
wrote our homework in our agendas and then continued working chapter 7 of
Chocolate Fever.
We then did a word sort activity related
to the novel. We needed to chart nouns, verbs, and adjectives all found in
Chocolate Fever.
