Wonderful Wednesday!
During math we learned about
Division. As a class, we worked through various questions involving division
(ex: we have 12 cubes and we are sharing them with 3 children, how much would
each child get? Each child would get 4 cubes). We used our understanding of
multiplication to help us with division. In groups, we gave each other division
problems and we needed to figure out the multiplication and division sentence.
We were then off to gym.
When we returned, Ms. Jaskolka gave
each of us a certain number of cubes and we needed to figure out how we could
share them equally. After we worked on division questions in our Math Books.
Following first recess and lunch we
were off on another nature walk to enjoy and appreciate the natural world
around us. Today we created a Spring Symphony! Students first found a quiet spot and
listened for a while to all the wonderful nature sounds around them. We heard birds
singing, cuckoos calling, bees buzzing, rustles from birds or squirrels in the
undergrowth, the breeze in the treetops and the grass!! Students then worked in
partners to repeat a nature sound that they heard. Students looked on the
woodland floor to see if they could use an object or found item. After we began
our spring symphony!!! Once we were given a cue from our conductors (Ms.
Jaskolka and Ms. Baimas) we joined in and created a beautiful spring symphony!
Before we left, we thanked the nature all around us for playing a beautiful symphony
for us!
After
second recess and lunch we practiced for Art’s Night.
At the
end of the day, Amber and Joey shared their time with Cuddly. Cuddly is having
so much fun with all of Cuddly’s friends!
Nicole
