Magnificent Monday!!
Meet
our new friend!! We named this new friend Cuddly Powerful Panda! As a class we
raised money to adopt an animal and today we found out that we adopted a Giant
Panda! Look how cute Cuddly is!! Throughout our unit we will be learning more
about endangered animals and how we can help. This is definitely an incredible
way to help the Giant Panda and show action for our current unit as a class!
Each
student will have an opportunity to take Cuddly home and take care of them!
Students will also write a journal entry and take a picture/draw a picture of
what they did together. Today is Michael’s turn! We are so excited to hear
about your adventures with Cuddly!
We began the day having French with Mlle.
Jessica.
After we
learned more about direction during math. As a class, we looked at a hundred’s
chart to find a way to get from one number to another using accurate and
precise directions (right, left, up, down). We then looked at a hundred’s
chart and figured out two different paths of how to get from 27 to 54. Next we explained our directions to a friend.
We then had gym.
When we returned, we began working on our Math Review. We will have our test on
Thursday.
Following first recess and lunch we met Cuddly Powerful Panda (we named our panda as a class)! Ms. Baimas’ class also adopted an endangered
animal called a Kermode Bear!
We then had Music with Mr. Oliver.
When students returned, they wrote a persuasive
advertisement for a donut.
At the end of the day we finished our advertisements and
then we worked on our spelling words for the week.
What a fun day!
