Marvelous Monday!
We began the day have French with Mdm. Stella.
After, we continued on with our media unit. We are learning
how to better write and perform TV commercials that are entertaining, informative,
and persuasive. We worked in groups
in order to help each other put together a commercial for a specific product.
Here are what we need to consider:
We then worked on making our own print advertisement for a
teddy bear, ensuring that it is eye catching, neat, and persuasive!
Following first recess and lunch, we had physical education
with Ms. Lovan.
We then spent a whole hour on math again. We learned about
making change using a number line. We were given a number line that had numbers
5-100. Ms. Jaskolka gave us the price of a candy she bought, and we needed to
figure out how much change she would get from 1 dollar; the number line helped
us because we know that there are 100 cents in 1 dollar. We learned that we could
count up using a number line in order to figure out how much change Ms.
Jaskolka would get. For example, a candy costs 50 cents, so we counted up from
50 to 100. We ensured to count by 5’s. After, we practiced making change on our
own.
After second recess and lunch, we wrote our homework in our
agendas and then worked on unit 11 words.
