Terrific Thursday!
He did a great job! Also, Krina, Manny, Ronit, and Noah
earned house points for reciting the poem to Ms. Jaskolka later on in the day!
We began the day having French with Mdm. Stella.
After, we wrote our spelling test and then completed our
agendas.
We were then off to Art with Ms. Kerr.
Following first recess and lunch, students had physical
education with Ms. Lovan.
After, we continued practicing telling time. We were
reminded that when the hour hand is in between two numbers, the hour is the
number that comes before (if the hour hand is in between 4 and 5, the hour is
4). We also need to ensure to point the hour and minute hand towards the
correct number (if it is 4:30, the minute hand needs to be directly pointing on
the 6 and not before). After, we discussed telling time to the next quarter
hour. We did an example together. We come into class at 9 o’clock. What time would
it be in 15 minutes? We counted by fives until we got to 15. We continued this
until we got to 9:45 and we needed to figure out what time it would be in 15
minutes. We know that it is already 9 o’clock so the time cannot be 9 again,
therefore in 15 minutes the time would be 10 o’clock. After, we completed an
activity in our math books figuring out the time to the next quarter hour.
We then started working on the good copies of our donut
advertisements.
After second recess and lunch we listened to a Radio
Commercial for Lion King and we worked together to figure out the techniques,
purpose, and target audience:

At the end of the day, we began working on our song for the

Today was a great day. I hope you all have a wonderful long
