Wonderful Wednesday!
We began the day having French with Mdm. Stella.
Following French, we worked on the learner profile (Thinker) and attitude (Confidence) for the month.
After, we practiced our commercials in groups so we can be
much more prepared for tomorrow. We listened to their comments and advice about
our commercials and also provided feedback to our group members.
Following first recess and lunch we had math. We focused on
the dime and quarter. We discussed how much each on is worth and the different
coins that we can use to equal each amount. We also worked on counting money
using pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters.
We then made a poster advertising a certain event that we
chose. We ensured to include the important information (date, location, time,
address, phone number, who to contact, and prices-if applicable). We also used
pictures and colours to make our posters eye catching and attractive.
After second recess and lunch, we continued working on
making text-to-text connection between Chocolate Fever and A Bad Case of the
stripes. We worked in groups to come up with similarities and differences
between the books.
At the end of the day, Karina showed us how she is confident when reading The little Red
Hen. Great attitude Karina!
