Fabulous Friday!
****Parents we need white board markers for our class. If you could kindly bring some in, that would be a wonderful help!
**** Picture Day is Monday October 27 2014 – Please have students come in their full uniform.
We began the morning learning about why it is important to
donate food to those in need. We watched a skit done by Ms. Sandu’s grade 3/4 class
and then we heard from an Eden Food Bank representative. She told us that the
Eden food bank helps about 400 families a month! We learned, that often, people need help for a
short amount of time. Sometimes people can lose their jobs and do not have
money, so they come to receive donations while they are looking for another
job. She also discussed that when we bring in food, it is important to donate
food that we like because if we like it, then another person will like it too.
After the presentation, we had our spelling test.
Then students had physical education with Ms. Lovan.
When students returned they reviewed how to make patterns on
a hundreds chart counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s. Students were also given patterns
and they needed to figure out what the pattern was.
During UOI, students wrote about a form of media they
heard/saw/read recently. Students needed to figure out if there were any facts
or opinions and who is the target audience.
After first recess and lunch, students had French.
When students returned, they wrote their homework in their
agendas and then completed their cursive. After students completed the letter
f, we played a cursive game. Dolapo explains this game in the video that is
posted.
During second lunch, we sang the 2 and 3 times table.
Afterwards, students continued working on their letter from
yesterday. Klara lets us know the important parts that we needed to have in our
letter.
At the end of the day, we continued playing our cursive game.
Watch us explain what we learned and did at school:
