Terrific Tuesday!
This morning we began the day having art with Mr. Monaghan
and physical education with Miss. Lovan.
When students returned, they continued working on their UOI assignment.
Our focus was writing about the different kinds of houses we would have in our
country.
During math we continued learning about doubles and near
doubles. We first went over examples as a class and then we completed some
questions on our own in our Math Makes Sense.
After first recess and lunch we had French.
When students returned, they wrote their homework in their
agendas and continued working on their UOI assignment. Students began editing
their writing, paying attention to capitals, punctuation, spelling, and if the
sentence makes sense.
After second recess and lunch we continued working on our
UOI assignment. We finished editing our writing and working on the good copy.
Afterwards we learned more about Daily 5. Today our focus
was on Read to Someone. We went through the I chart for Read to Someone and
went over our responsibilities when we are doing this component of Daily 5.

We
will check for understanding with check marks that we were given that remind us
