Tremendous Tuesday!
Action Star: Saanvi brought a grabageless lunch again today!!!
We began the day with our novel study. We used our book
covers from last class to write a summary that would get other people excited
and wanting to read our book.
After we had physical education with Ms. Lovan.
During UOI, we finished learning about reusing, reducing,
and recycling when shopping. We then wrote about what we recycle most in our
flip flap books.
After we had Math. Ms. Jaskolka showed us various shapes and
we needed to figure out the sorting rule (three vertices/ more than three
vertices, all pentagons). We then needed to figure out riddles that Ms.
Jaskolka told us: I have three shapes. All together these shapes have 9 vertices,
what are my shapes? Three triangles. I have three shapes. All together they
have 14 edges, what are my shapes? Two pentagons and one square. After, we were
given shapes and we needed to find friends who had shapes that were different
from us and then the same as us; we explained how we know they are the same and
different.
After first recess and lunch, we had French. When students
returned, we wrote our homework in our agendas and then completed any unfinished
work.
After second recess and lunch, we worked on our
advertisements. We made sure that we are persuading our audience to buy our
product using exciting adjectives and lots of detail!
