We began the day with our spelling test and then we went on
to cursive. Students worked on the letter c in their cursive books.
Afterwards, students had gym with Ms. Lovan.
When students returned we discussed the important parts of a
letter so students could write to someone in a country closer to the equator
describing how Canada is different from hotter climates. Students wrote an
imaginary letter, describing what someone from a hotter climate would expect
when coming to Canada. Students used the information about the features of
their community in their letter. Students focused on food, clothing, shelter,
transportation and recreation.
For math, each student made a pattern with two attributes
before going out for recess.
After first recess and lunch, students had French.
When students returned, they worked on their agendas and
completed any unfinished work.
After second recess and lunch, we worked on our letters from
this morning.
At the end of the day, we went over to Miss. Dacosta’s class
to learn and read about Terry Fox. We
will have the Terry Fox Run on Monday, in the afternoon.
