(2-3 minute presentation)
Students will present on Monday,
February 29, 2016
We began the day writing our
homework in our agenda and then writing out our Spelling words.
We then had physical education with
Mr. Slyk.
Marcus then presented his Simple
Machines project.
After, we began our next unit of
inquiry learning about cultures. We discussed what culture meant to us and
watched a short video explaining the different aspects of culture while filling
out a mind map.
Since today is the 100th
Day of School, we wrote a story about our life at that age. Writing prompt: If
I were one hundred years old….
After first recess and lunch,
students’ continued working on their stories from this morning and when they
were finished, they drew themselves at 100 years old. Then, we used an aging
app, and students saw what they might look like when they are 100 years old.
When students were finished,
students answered 100th Day questions. After, students did some Word Work. Students tried to come up
with as many words as the can with the words ONE HUNDRED.
After second recess and lunch,
students continued working on their lesson 20 Spelling words.
