Tremendous and Terrific Thursday!!!

Thank you grade 2’s for such a fantastic and wonderful Valentine’s Day! Have an amazing long weekend and I will see you all on Tuesday

We began the day with a fun house gaming using candy hearts.

Students then wrote their homework in their agendas.

After students had gym with Mr. Slyk.

When students returned, they did their Review Spelling test.

Students then continued working on their Simple Machines Flip Flap Book, showing their understanding of our current unit.

Summative project: Students are to create their own mechanism using at least one simple machine. Students are to create something that does not already exist and needs to have a purpose/function for humans. These are to be completed at home and on February 17 students will present their mechanism to the class. Students are also to complete the writing portion at home. 

We then worked on exciting Math activities!! We were given two digit addition and subtraction questions, and we needed to figure out the silly and sweet Valentine riddles.

After first recess and lunch, students had Music and then French.

After second recess and lunch, we worked on a fun Valentine Craft. Students made heart Minions! They turned out so cute!

We then had a little Valentine party. Students were given Valentine activities to work on together and the students also had the chance to hand out any treats or cards they had for the class.

What a great day!!!

2.    Summative project due Feb. 17

3.    Spelling test signed

4.    Scholastic due Feb. 17

5.    Cursive pg. 72-73

6.    Lunch forms due Feb. 19
