Tremendous Tuesday!

Good afternoon SJA Parents,

As we work to ensure the safest and most efficient system for student drop off, we would like to send out a few reminders to SJA parents.
  • Kiss and Ride runs every day from 3:30 - 3:40pm.  Parents choosing to not participate in the Kiss and Ride program are asked to wait until 3:40 to enter into the school building.
  • Parents wishing to sign their child(ren) out early may do so up until 3:20pm.  Parents may enter through the front door to sign out their child(ren).  Any parents entering through the front door before will be asked to wait at the front until their child can be called down via the PA system.  This will help to keep the hallways cleared for dismissal and for Kiss and Ride.
  • Parents entering through the front after 3:20 will have to wait until 3:40pm to enter the building.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping to keep our afternoon dismissal as safe and efficient as possible.

We began the day having French with Mlle. Jessica.

After we worked on graphing activities during math. We also started some extra activities to help prepare us for our test on Friday.

We then had physical education with Mr. H.

When we returned, we continued our graphing activities.

Following first recess and lunch, we began learning how to write a letter. We first discussed the purpose for writing letters. We then wrote one as a class and discussed the important components.

We then began our next UOI unit, All for one and one for all (How we organize ourselves). We first started with an activity where we tried our best to define various terms that we will explore in depth during this unit: fair, unfair, rights, responsibility, needs, wants, citizenship and community. Next, we wrote a question for our wonder wall.

After second recess and lunch, we learned that our Risk Taker this month is Aidan!

We also played an exciting house game!!

Marvelous Monday!

We began the day having French with Mlle.

We then moved onto Math. We showed our understanding of how to go about conducting a survey. We did a survey about favourite foods in our class. First we chose our choices and then we tallied ten friends in our class. After we made a bar graph to represent our data about the favourite foods in our class. We then answered questions about our results.

After we had physical education with Mr. H.

When we returned, we began working on our spelling words for the week.

Following first recess and lunch we read a book about the learner profile for this month, Risk Taker. We read Hooway for Wodent Wat and discussed how we expressed the various learner profiles, along with being a Risk Taker.

Students were then off to Music.

When students returned, students completed an activity related to the learner profile, Risk Taker and the attitude, Enthusiasm.

At the end of the day, we continued with our holiday scrapbook presentations.

Fantastic Friday!

We began the day having French with Mlle. Jessica.

We then wrote our spelling test.

After, we were off to physical education with Mr. H.

When we returned, we began our Holiday Scrapbook presentations. Ms. Jaskolka is really impressed with all the wonderful and creative projects and presentations!

After first recess and lunch, we continued with our presentations.












We will finish the rest of our presentations on Monday.

During second lunch, we celebrated Jacob's birthday!

Following second recess and lunch, we spent some time organizing our various activities and projects into our binders.

Since we are at the end of our unit, we found out our colourful friends. We were so excited to reveal ourselves and find out who our colourful friend was so we could thank them.
