Tremendous Tuesday!

We began the day writing our homework in our agendas and then learning a song that will help us better remember multiples of 4.

We then had gym with Mr. Slyk.

After, we did an exciting experiment that had to do with the water cycle. We used a kettle and a plate to see evaporation, condensation, and perception in action!!! First we made our hypothesis: What do you think will happen when we put the plate over a boiling kettle? We then performed the experiment together:

We then explained how this experiment relates to the water cycle.

After first recess and lunch, we had Music and then French.

At the end of the day, we further discussed the water cycle to gain a better understanding of the process and each step along the way.

Afterwards, we worked on an activity related to the IB Learner Profile: Reflective. First we talked about what it means to be reflective and then we practiced being reflected ourselves by thinking about our day and ways that we can improve.

Homework:

1.     Read for 20 minutes
2.     Bake Sale Thursday
3.     Art’s night Thursday

Marvelous Monday!!

Students are asked to bring in their costumes tomorrow. They are still coming dressed in their school uniform.

We began the day writing our spelling test and then practicing for Art’s night.

After, we had gym with Mr. Slyk.

When students returned, students worked on their spelling words for the week.

After first recess and lunch, students practiced being ‘reflective.’ They looked through their work binders and picked out what the worked their hardest on, best on, and what they think they could have improved upon for this term.

Then students had French with Mdm. Stella.

After second recess and lunch, we practiced a song for multiples of 2 and 3. This way, we will be better able to remember the patterns when we multiply by 2 and 3.

After, we practiced a song that would help us remember the water cycle.

Here we are:

We then worked on some activities that are helping us learn more about the water cycle.

Homework:

1.     Read for 20 minutes
