Magnificent Monday!!

We began the day having French with Mlle. Jessica.

We then learned about area in math. We took the same example from Friday: We will be putting a fence around our garden and we need to figure how much fencing we need to buy – this is perimeter. Now, we will be putting grass in our garden, how will we go about figuring out how much grass we need? Well, we would use area! We figured out that we would break our garden up into squares and count how many squares of grass we would need. We then used the 3-D cubes to make as many arrangements as we could only using 5 cubes and then we tried to cover an area of 64 squares.

Next we were off to gym.

When we returned, we continued with our area activities. 

Following first recess and lunch we had our first exciting Spring Fundraiser assembly where the top student was given gum to chew for the day!!!!

Tomorrow, the top student will be able to put make up on Mr. Foster and Ms. Bancud!!!!

Tomorrow is also popcorn day.

When we returned to class, we started working on our migration stories. We used our interviews and our storyboard to help us write our story. When we are finished, we are going to read our stories to the class and put them in our bookshelf!!!

After second recess and lunch we worked on our spelling words for the week.
