Tremendous Thursday!
We began the day with the in-class Spelling Bee. Congratulations to all of the Grade 6 and 5 students for working so hard in preparation for this event!
Then we spent the rest of the day working on Exhibition. Today students focused on planning the essay for their exhibition topic. Students worked in groups to plan out their essay using their graphic organizer. When students were finished, students began working on their paragraph template. Each student is responsible for a line of inquiry on their topic and they will use the paragraph template to plan out the ideas that will be within their paragraph. Once finished, students will write their paragraph on lined paper.
Tomorrow students will work on putting together the 3 body paragraphs and writing an introduction and conclusion with their group.
Students also worked on interview questions, brainstorming their action component, and met with their mentor to discuss their progress thus far.
