Tremendous Tuesday!


Today we spent a fun and educational day at the Japanese Cultural Centre!

We learned about and were a part of a Traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony:

After we explored various Traditional Japanese Toys:



















































































 We learned more about Japan and its' culture:




Did you know that we could fit three Japans into Ontario!!

But more people live in Japan than Canada!
 Here is Mount Fuji:


 We learned about Traditional Japanese Story telling and then we also listened to one about a crane that disguised herself as a young woman.
























 We inquired more into Traditional Japanese toys, particularly Kokeshi Dolls. We also were given the opportunity to make our own:




















 Some students also made spinning tops:








We played “rock, paper, scissors” using Japanese terms (“jan ken pon”)
