Wonderful Wednesday!

We had a very busy day today practicing for our Christmas Concert.

Our day consisted of: Math, UOI, Novel Study, French and practicing for the Christmas concert. Students are doing a phenomenal job!!!!!! Students are reminded to practice the lyrics for the opening song (Good to be bad) and for our class song (You're a good man Charlie Brown).

Math:
Today we focused on order of operations with decimals.

We used our understanding of ‘Bedmas’ or ‘Pemdas’ to answer questions related to order of operations with decimals.

During UOI we explored the climate and physical regions of Canada and how this effects how First Nations People lived in that specific region. We read about and filled out a chart related to Aboriginal groups and their environment (climate, landforms, vegetations, plant, animal, food, clothing and shelter). We also looked at various maps of Canada so that we to learn how the physical and climate regions effected how the First Nations people lived in that region. First Nations people relied on the environment to provide all of their basic necessities and the climate and physical features effected the resources available to them.

Students are asked to watch the following videos from yesterday:
