Wonderful Wednesday!
We began the day working on our math
review.
Next we had French.
When we returned, we continued working on
our math review.
After first recess and lunch we learned about
the form and function of a screw. We read an informative book about screws and
we worked in groups with nails and screws as well. We learned so much about
screws today!! We found out that screws are everywhere!!!! We have the thread
on our water bottles like a screw that keeps it closed!!! We have screws on our
chairs and on our sharpener!!!! We really came to the understanding that even though
this is a very simple and sometimes very small simple machine, it has a very
important job of keeping things together AND it can also raise and lower heavy
objects like cars!!!! We also learned the history of the screw and how it was
invented first to help with farming.
After second recess and lunch, Emily shared
about her fun trip to Florida.
After that we sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to Khaliya.
Next Emily and Isabella shared their attitude entry about creativity.
At the end of the day we read chapter five
of our novel study, Horrible Harry and the Holidaze. In this chapter we learned
more about Hunnukah and about Harry’s great grandfather!!
