Our wonderful Parent Guild is hosting a Valentine’s Day Cookie Decoration activity. Orders forms were sent home last night and are due back by Friday, February 9. The cost is $5 for 4 cookies. Do not miss out on this fun event!!
A note from Ms. Helen, our Admissions Coordinator - This is just a friendly reminder that our deadline for re-registration is just days away! Currently, we have a number of families on waitlists wanting to secure any vacancies that may be available to them once this deadline has passed. Therefore, in order to ensure that your child has a secured placement for the upcoming academic year (2018-2019), we kindly ask that if you have not already done so, to please complete and return your child’s registration package to their homeroom teacher as soon as possible. The deadline is Monday, February 12.

A note about Jump Rope for Heart - St. Jude’s Academy is please to be holding a Heart and Stroke Foundation Jump Rope for Heartevent on Tuesday, February 20th, 2018. All money raised will support the Heart and Stroke Foundation in their mission to promote children’s health and fund vital heart and stroke research.
Jump Rope for Heart encourages kids to get active by skipping rope while they collect pledges for heart disease and stroke research. They also learn the importance of living a healthy lifestyle and giving back to their community. This year marks Jump Rope for Heart’s 36th Anniversary and the Heart and Stroke Foundation is striving to get 1 million kids jumping in close to 4,000 schools across Canada. Let’s be part of it!

A note about March Break Camp - Registration forms were sent home back in October. We have had many students sign up since then and especially over the last few days. If you are interested in registering your chid for our March Break camp, please send in the completed registration form, along with the $20 one-time non-refundable deposit in order to secure your child's spot (this could be paid in cash or through fresh books). This year there are two options to choose from the first being lunch and two snacks provided or the second being send your own packed lunch and a discounted camp rate! We began the day reciting our speeches.
We then had French and then Gym.
After first recess and lunch we practiced our organization skills and being reflective; we chose an activity we feel that we worked our hardest on, best on, and an activity or concept we feel we could have improved on during the second term.
Next Tayler and Ali presented their newly invented holiday!!
Then we read chapter 3 of our novel study: Horrible Harry and the Holidaze. During this chapter we had fun learning more about Kwanzaa!!
After second recess and lunch we continued performing our speeches.
