Marvelous Monday!!
We began the day working on our lesson 16
words.
Next we had French and then Gym.
After first recess and lunch we reviewed
our math homework on time, temperature and money as a class to check for
understanding. Next, we began NEW follow me cards where we counted money. We
were able to get them done in 2 minutes and 15 seconds!!!!! Next, we practiced
counting money as a class. We realized that the best way to count money is to
put the same bills and coins together and order them from greatest value to
least. We also learned how to write money amounts in two different ways. For
example: 90 cents or $0.90. We also practiced showing the same money amounts in
different ways. We then practiced these skills in groups while working on
counting money activities.
After second recess and lunch we practiced
presenting our speeches to someone new. Each day we will have an opportunity to
practice with someone new in our class so that we can continue to be given
positive feedback.
