Tremendous Tuesday!!
We began the day with math. We did a review of yesterday’s math lessons:
We reviewed the names and how to draw different triangles using isometric paper, ruler, compass and protractor as well as how to plot co-ordinates on a grid. Students discovered that they can draw an acute, an obtuse, and right isosceles triangle; a scalene and an isosceles obtuse triangle; and an acute equilateral triangle (for an equilateral triangle all angles or 60 degrees). We then reviewed how to sketch a triangle and students did some examples on their own. We also reviewed how to plot co-ordinates on a grid. We did practice questions as a class.
We also had French.
Then the rest of our day was spent working on speeches. Students had most of the day to work with a partner or in groups to practice performing their speech. Students also performed their speech twice for the class and Ms. Jaskolka and received feedback.
Students were asked to focus on speeches tonight.
Grade 6’s, remember that we all get nervous. Take a breath, and remember that you can do it!!!!
Practice Practice Practice and you will feel more confident!!!
