Wonderful Wednesday!
In the morning we had art with Mr. Monaghan and physical
education with Ms. Lovan.
We then read How to
build your own country by Valerie Wyatt to help us when creating our own
countries for our summative assessment in our unit of inquiry. After we came up
with the name of our country, plotted our country on a map and created a flag.
For math we continued to add and subtract numbers up to 18. We completed a page in our Math Makes Sense
and then continued working on subtraction sentences using counting cubes to
help us.
After first recess and lunch we wrote our homework in our
agendas and then continued learning about antonyms by playing “Go Fishin for Antonyms.”
Working on Nouns:
After second recess and lunch we finished our antonym game
and then moved onto Daily 5. We first reviewed how to work on writing and then we
practiced on our own by writing about our favourtie place to visit.
