Wonderful Wednesday!
This morning we began with our novel study, reading Chapter
5 of Flat Stanley and the Japanese Ninja
Surprise. We looked for verbs and synonyms while reading the chapter.
After students had physical education with Ms. Lovan.
When student’s returned, we worked on estimating with
counting cubes. As a group, we estimated how many cubes we thought there were
on the floor. Then we made a group of ten to help us with our estimating and we
were able to change our answers. We then counted by 2s, 5s, and 10s to figure
out our answer. After, each student was given cubes to estimate. First students
estimated how much they thought they had and then they made one group of ten; students
were able to use the group of ten to help them estimate. Students then counted
by 2s, 5s, and 10s to find their answer.
Afterwards students continued working on the country that
they created during our unit of inquiry. Today students were all working on
their good copies.
After first recess and lunch students had French.
When students returned they wrote their homework in their
agenda and then continued working on their good copy before and after second
lunch.
Afterwards students continued working on their turkeys
during art. Students made the body and body parts for their turkey and then put
it all together. Students also wrote one thing that they are thankful for.
