Action

The Importance of Taking Action:

Action is an important component of the IB program. Students are encouraged to use their learning in the classroom in order to take meaningful and voluntary action. In the PYP, students are encouraged to take their learning within the classroom and apply it to the world around them through appropriate and thoughtful action. Action can be big or small. Action can involve service to other students, the community, both within and outside the school. Action is how students take their own steps in order to expand upon their learning. Action is how students demonstrate their learning and understanding within the classroom. Please let me know any action your son or daughter has displayed at home. Meaningful learning occurs when students can show what they have learned by applying it to the world around them.

Please let me know if your child has taken action at home to learn more about media and if they have practised media literacy outside of school.
