Marvelous Monday!!

Please have your child dress in full uniform tomorrow. We are taking our SJA panoramic photo.

Bake Sale Wednesday and Thursday. All the money we collect will be used for a PA system and audio books!

Casual Day is on Thursday.

Macbeth tickets are on sale! All the money collected will go to our SJA Science program!

We began the day writing out our unit 16 spelling words and showing our understanding in our workbooks.

We then moved on to math. We inquired into various kinds of graphs. We first discussed what would happen when a two colour counter was tossed 10 ten times. We came to the conclusion that both colours (red and yellow) were equally likely to win and this is exactly what our results showed. We showed this information using a tally and bar graph. We were then given our own counters and played the same game; we made our own tally and bar graphs. We then continued to tally various items in the classroom and after used a tally and bar graph to show information about fish in a tank (spots, stripes, whiskers).

Wahkeen counted small amounts of coins.

After we went over to Ms. DaCosta’s class and finished making our pulleys. Once they were complete, we each had a chance to use the pulley to understand the mechanics behind it.

After recess and lunch we had French. When students returned, we wrote our homework in our agendas and then practiced our poems with enunciation, feeling, and volume.

After second recess and lunch, we continued working on our letters to Hong Kong.

During Art, we continued working on our stick figures from last week. We are ensuring to be neat and take our time. They are turning out fanastic!!

1.     Read for 20 minutes
2.     Read poem with enunciation, feeling, and volume
