Tremendous Tuesday!

We began the day watching the grade 3 and 4 spelling bee.

After we dove into math. We learned about fractions today. We discussed how we would divide an orange in half to share with someone else. We knew we needed to cut it right down the middle to make two exact halves. We talked about dividing lasagna among three friends. This time we would needed to split it into thirds. We then inquired how we would need to split the lasagna if we split it four ways. We found out that we would split it into fourths. We then practiced various ways we can show different fractions. We then showed our understanding in our math books.

After, we began working on our own adventure or scary story. First we read examples of an adventure and scary story. After, we decided if we wanted to write an adventure or scary story. We then reviewed the important components we need to ensure to include in our story using the story plan: Who is in your story? Where will your story take place? When will your story take place? What problem do you need to solve? What is the solution to your problem? We then worked on our story plan (story graphic organizer).

Following first recess and lunch, we had Music.

We then had French with Mdm. Stella.

After second recess and lunch, we practiced our Art’s night performance.

At the end of the day, we shared action.

Yesterday, Aanika went home and found a whole bunch of materials she was no longer using and ended up making a spinning top. Great Action, Aanika!!

Ronit shared a game on his Ipad that brings awareness of climate change and global warming!!!
