Marvelous Monday!!

I am unable to post videos and pictures from the day because the blog is experiencing some difficulties. I will try to do it tonight.

Manny is an Action Star!!!

He shared with us some interesting facts about water and about conservation. For example: When cooking, we can ensure to put a lid on top of the pot so we use less electricity! I will post the poster Manny brought in tonight. Great action, Manny!!

We began the day with the Spelling Bee. The Grade 2’s did a fantastic job!! Ronit got first place and Aanika got second place out of all the grade 2’s!


During math we learned about Division. We looked at the big math book and needed to divide 18 cars equally among 3 children. We figured out that each child would get 6 cars. As a class, we were given various questions about how to divide and worked through them together (ex: we have 12 cubes and we are sharing them with 3 children, how much would each child get? Each child would get 4 cubes). We then worked on Division questions in our Math Books. After, Ms. Jaskolka gave us more questions to work on to strengthen our understanding.

We then had French with Mdm. Stella.

After second recess and lunch, we worked in our review in our spelling books.

Homework:

1.    Read for 20 minutes

2.     Spelling pg. 121,125

3.     Summative due May 24

4.     Lunch forms due May 23
