We began the day writing our spelling test and then in our agendas.
We then practiced for art’s night.
After, we went to go watch Andrew present his personal project about homelessness. We learned about homelessness in the GTA and ways that we can help. Some ways: donating food, clothing (socks are very important), baby items, etc.
After first recess and lunch, we had Music.
We then had French with Mdm. Stella.
After second recess and lunch, we went to go watch Orlando’s personal project about climate change. Not only did we learn a lot from Orlando but we also taught Orlando many of the strategies we have learned about protecting our planet. Ms. Jaskolka was very proud to hear all of the ways the grade 2’s have learned about protecting our planet!!!
At the end of the day, we shared action.
Muhammad talked about planting his sunflower seeds.
Ronit has taken an initiative at home to reduce water and electricity. His family created a chart where family members either get points for reducing water and electricity or lose points when water or electricity is being wasted. Great action, Malhotra family!!!
Aanika also shared her game about climate change and global warming.
