Fantastic Friday!!!
We began the day having French with Mlle.
Jessica.
We then moved onto Math. We
then worked on estimating using large numbers and group counting using counters
or cubes. In order to make a more accurate estimate, we made a group of ten
first. After we made our estimate, we continued making groups
of 10s to figure out our answer. Students did this again with a different
amount of cubes or counters. Students continued to show their understanding of
group counting, counting by ten, and estimating in their math books.
After first recess and lunch, we finished of our Life
Cycle Presentations.

We then moved onto our novel study. We first did a
summary about what happened in chapter 7 and 8. Next we read chapter 9.
After, we reflected upon what we are thankful for. We
first had a conversation about the various things we are thankful for and
explained why. Next, we wrote five sentences in our journals about what we are
thankful for. We made sure that we explained why are thankful for the things we
wrote about. We are ensuring to add detail to our writing.
Following second recess and lunch, we continued our
journal writing.
We then had some sharing time.
